Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 2026
My Apprentice was built by someone who has worked in the trades and seen firsthand what happens when there is no accountability in hiring. These guidelines exist to protect that community.
Everyone here — apprentices, students, teachers, and employers — is expected to show up with honesty and respect. That is the foundation everything else is built on.
⚡
Be Honest
Your profile, portfolio, and any information you post must be accurate.
- Apprentices — do not inflate your experience or credentials
- Employers — do not list sign-on positions unless you genuinely intend to sign
- Everyone — do not create fake accounts or impersonate other people
🤝
Treat People With Respect
This is a professional platform. Treat people accordingly.
- No harassment, threats, or personal attacks
- No discriminatory language based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic
- Disagreements are fine — hostility is not
🛠
Keep It Trades-Related
My Apprentice is built for the skilled trades. Keep your contributions relevant.
- No spam, unsolicited advertising, or off-topic promotion
- No pyramid schemes, MLM pitches, or unrelated job postings
⭐
Leave Honest Reviews
The employer review system only works if reviews are genuine.
- Only review companies you have actually worked for
- Be specific and factual
- Do not write fake positive or negative reviews
🔒
Respect Privacy
Do not share other users' personal information without their consent.
- No unsolicited mass messaging
- No sharing of private information from other users' profiles
- No doxxing or attempts to identify anonymous users
📝
