- Account information — your full name, email address, phone number, and password (stored encrypted)
- Profile information — your trade, city, role, school, program, employer details, and any other information you choose to add
- Portfolio content — your bio, work experience, and certifications that you choose to publish publicly
- Google account data — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google
- Usage data — basic server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your public portfolio to other logged-in users
- Send you account verification and platform-related emails
- Send you newsletters or platform updates if you have opted in
- Improve the platform and fix technical issues
- Protect the platform from abuse and unauthorized access
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. What Information Is Public
Your public portfolio — including your name, username, trade, city, bio, work experience, and certifications — is visible to other logged-in users. Your email address, phone number, and password are never displayed publicly.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway in North America. Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt before storage. We use HTTPS to encrypt all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Google OAuth — for signing in with your Google account
- Resend — for sending transactional emails
- Railway — for hosting and database storage
- Cloudflare — for DNS and security
7. Your Rights

My Apprentice is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
